European Pavilion at Anuga Select China 2024

Embark on a sensory journey through the irresistible aromas and countless flavour combinations of European cuisine at the EU Pavilion at Anuga Select China 2024. Join us from 24 to 26 April at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre, where the EU Pavilion, located at Hall 1 - N10, will introduce visitors to the safety, quality, authenticity, and sustainability of European food and beverages as part of its "Irresistible Europe. Countless combinations" campaign. 

The EU Pavilion will officially launch at a grand opening ceremony at 11:30 on 24 April, graced by Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski and a distinguished EU business delegation. At the opening ceremony, our Chef will craft mouth-watering dishes, allowing visitors to savour the rich flavours of Europe first-hand. 

Don’t miss this opportunity to indulge in high-quality fresh meat and meat products from the EU, and to enjoy a range of excellent European cheese, olive oil, table olives and other delicacies. A visit to the EU Pavilion will also be an opportunity to discover the richness of European wines, spirits, and beer and satisfy your sweet cravings with the finest confectionery, honey, and jams.

An introduction to the excellence of EU food and drink 

The agenda for the three days of the EU Pavilion at Anuga Select China includes product tasting sessions, cooking shows and workshops that will present a range of excellent food and beverages from the EU. Permanent tasting sessions will be offered at the pavilion each day, with EU products available for your sampling pleasure, including: 

• Diary products, including baby milk powders 
• Fresh meat and meat products 
• Fruit and vegetables, olive oil and table olives 
• Processed agricultural products, including confectionery 
• Wines, beers and spirits 

About 200 products will be exhibited, with a special focus on organic products and products protected as Geographical Indications (GIs), which have a specific link to the place where they are made. Under the EU and China bilateral agreement signed in 2020, around 200 iconic European and Chinese agri-food names were protected against usurpation and counterfeit imitation, bringing mutual trade benefits and introducing consumers to guaranteed, authentic products from two regions with a rich culinary and cultural tradition. A series of product-oriented sessions and live cooking shows featuring our star chefs Tony Jiang and Fabio Falanga will highlight these EU Geographical Indications.

Official opening ceremony of the European Union Pavilion 

The official opening ceremony of the European Union Pavilion is a perfect opportunity to learn about authentic food and beverage products from across the 27 EU Member States, their quality and safety standards, and the sustainable methods used in their production. 

Join European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski as he kicks off the European Union Pavilion in style with the help our star Chef, who will skilfully prepare delicious dishes featuring top quality EU ingredients.
